Air Canada (AC, Montréal Trudeau) says it reached an agreement with Boeing (BOE, Washington National) in April to further modify its current B737 MAX order delivery schedule.

The carrier said in its 2Q18 financials that under the deal, the delivery of five B737 MAX aircraft had been accelerated by one year from 2019 to 2020, while the delivery of another eleven MAX had been deferred by up to 36 months.

Air Canada has a total of sixty-one B737 MAX on order from Boeing consisting of fifty B737-8s and eleven B737-9s. Thus far, eighteen MAX 8s have been delivered with the remaining thirty-two (along with the MAX 9s) due to deliver from 2019 to 2024. As at June 30, 2018, Air Canada expects to add another eighteen MAX 8s to its fleet next year.

It also has substitution rights between MAX 8s and 9s as well as for B737-7 variants.
