EWA Air (ZD, Dzaoudzi) has taken delivery of two ATR72-600s as part of its fleet renewal and replacement plan.
F-OJZA (msn 1535) and F-OJMZ (msn 1537) arrived in the French Indian Ocean possession of Mayotte on December 31. Of the duo, Flightradar24 ADS-B data shows F-OJMZ has already been pressed into service plying routes from Dzaoudzi to Majunga and Nosy-Be in Madagascar.
A unit of Air Austral (UU, St. Denis de la Réunion), EWA Air will use the two -600s to replace its current fleet of two ATR72-500s. From its base in Dzaoudzi, EWA Air serves Anjouan and Moroni International in the Comoros, Dar es Salaam in Tanzania, Pemba, MZ in Mozambique, and Antsiranana, Nosy-Be, and Majunga in Madagascar.
