Atran (V8, Moscow Vnukovo) has taken delivery of its first of two B737-800(P2F)s on lease from GECAS. Formerly HS-DBJ with Nok Air, VQ-BFS (msn 32616) arrived at Moscow Vnukovo on January 11 and will be joined by a second of the type later in the year.
Atran is an existing Boeing narrowbody freighter operators with three B737-400(F)s currently in service. A fourth of the type (msn 25775) was acquired earlier this month.
A unit of Volga-Dnepr Group, Atran offers dedicated cargo services for mail and express shipments on routes linking Europe, Russia, and the CIS.
