FlyArystan (KC, Astana Nursultan Nazarbayev) has announced it will begin commercial flight operations with effect from May 1, 2019 onwards.

According to the nascent low-fare carrier's website, it will initially offer daily flights from Almaty International to each of Taraz and Uralsk. International flights will follow thereafter.

“FlyArystan presents a great opportunity for both Kazakhstan citizens and foreign visitors to travel more easily and comfortably across this vast country with lower airfares,” Timothy Jordan, the new head of FlyArystan, said in a statement. “With only a month to go before the launch of our first services to Taraz and Uralsk, we are delighted at the immediate strong market response and look forward to welcoming our first customers in May.”

FlyArystan will operate 180-seater A320-200s sourced from parent, Air Astana (KC, Astana Nursultan Nazarbayev). It will initially operate four aircraft, with the fleet growing to at least 15 by 2022.
