AirAsia India (Bengaluru International) has decided against adding ex-Jet Airways (JAI, Mumbai International) B737 narrowbodies due to the complexities it would introduce in comparison with the carrier's current Airbus-only fleet, the Business Today has reported.

The LCC applied to the Indian Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) for permission to operate the B737s earlier but then did not follow up.

Currently, AirAsia India operates twenty A320-200s, the ch-aviation fleets module shows. Across the entire AirAsia Group, all airlines use exclusively Airbus aircraft, including A320-200s, A320-200neo, and A330-300s.

SpiceJet (SG, Delhi International) took over twenty-two ex-Jet Airways B737-800s, while Vistara (UK, Delhi International) has recently announced it will dry-lease four aircraft of the type from BOC Aviation, presumably also ex-Jet units.
