Kochi International in southern India will close for daytime operations between November 19, 2019, through late March 2020, CNBC TV18 has reported.

During the closure, the Kerala gateway will not accept any operations between 1000LT and 1730LT every day due to the ongoing runway resurfacing works. The airport will function normally outside these hours.

According to the ch-aviation capacities module, IndiGo Airlines (6E, Delhi International) is the largest operator in Kochi with a 36.9% market share by capacity. In total, the airport sees 693 weekly scheduled departures operated by 25 airlines to 37 destinations.
