Camair-Co (QC, Douala) has wet-leased a B737-500 from Armenian ACMI/charter carrier Taron-Avia (Erebuni). According to Flightradar24 ADS-B, EK73775 (msn 28475) was ferried from Yerevan to Yaoundé Nsimalen on Friday, July 5 and is currently awaiting induction into service.

According to an airline statement, the Boeing narrowbody will be used to gradually resume shorthaul international routes to Libreville Leon M'Ba (Gabon), Bangui (Central African Republic), N'Djamena (Chad), Cotonou Cadjehoun (Benin), Lagos (Nigeria), and Abidjan (Cote d'Ivoire).

Said routes were suspended in May this year given Camair-Co's own pair of B737-700s have been out of service pending engine maintenance since November 2018 and February 2019 respectively. Since then, the state-owned airline has used its single Dash 8-400 and two MA-60s to maintain domestic flights. An E145 was briefly wet-leased from National Airways (Ethiopia) (9Y, Addis Ababa International) in May/June.
