SpiceJet (SG, Delhi International) has announced the arrival of its first B737-800 P2F-converted freighter. According to an airline statement, the aircraft is leased from NGF Alpha, a division of Texas-based aircraft trading and leasing company Spectre Cargo Solutions.

Launched in September 2018, SpiceXpress, the LCC's cargo wing, currently operates three B737-700(BDSF)s all of which are leased from Spectre Air Capital. In terms of scheduled network, it serves Hong Kong International from Delhi International, Kolkata and Guwahati while domestically, it connects Hyderabad International, New Delhi, Mumbai International, Bengaluru International, and Chennai.

“We are expanding the markets we currently serve, particularly in the Middle East, Hong Kong and Bangladesh and the B737-800(BCF)’s reliability and versatility is helping enable our strategic direction," SpiceJet’s chairman and managing director, Ajay Singh, said in a statement.
