CAL Cargo Air Lines (Tel Aviv Ben Gurion) has announced it is considering applying for an air operator certificate in the European Union before the EU-Israel open skies treaty takes full effect in 2017 allowing it to operate more routes from Tel Aviv Ben Gurion via points in Europe to other countries. It currently operates two B747-200Fs on scheduled services linking Tel Aviv Ben Gurion with Liège and New York JFK as well as charter flights.
