SAS Scandinavian Airlines (SK, Copenhagen Kastrup) CEO Rickard Gustafson has said that SAS would be considering plans to set-up a lower cost subsidiary to operate some domestic and European services in a similar fashion to what Iberia (IB, Madrid Barajas) has done with Iberia Express (I2, Madrid Barajas). It is also reviewing its options for a replacement of its long-haul fleet of four A330-300s and seven A340-300s by either A350s or B787s. SAS has indicated that the not yet officially launched B787-10 would be of particular interest.
