Silverstone Air Services (Nairobi Wilson) has retired its only jet, a CRJ200LR(PF), and will henceforth focus on its fleet of Fokker Aircraft turboprops.

5Y-SVS (msn 7118) was ferried out of Nairobi Wilson via Khartoum, Aswan, Malta International, Glasgow Prestwick, and Reykjavik Keflavik to Calgary over the course of April 1-2, 2022. The 25.9-year-old converted freighter had been operated by the Kenyan carrier since 2018 and is owned by Avmax Aircraft Leasing. According to the lessor, it has 43,745 flight hours and 34,945 cycles and is currently available for lease.

Following the CRJ's retirement, Silverstone Air Services continues to operate six Fokker 50s and four Fokker 50(F)s. A year ago, the carrier announced plans to rebrand as Jetlite Air. It did not respond to ch-aviation's inquiry about the status of this process or its future fleet plans.
