Thai AirAsia (FD, Bangkok Don Mueang) has agreed with Airports of Thailand to move its operations back from Bangkok Suvarnabhumi to Bangkok Don Mueang from October 1. The Thai government and airport operator AOT had agreed to a plan to provide incentives to low-cost and domestic carriers to move their operations back to Don Mueang to help overcoming capacity problems at Suvarnabhumi until the airport's facilities can be expanded to meet current capacity needs. All Thai AirAsia flights as well as services operated to Bangkok by AirAsia (AK, Kuala Lumpur International) and Indonesia AirAsia (QZ, Jakarta Soekarno-Hatta) will operate from/to Don Mueang.
