Merpati (Jakarta Soekarno-Hatta) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Indonesian aircraft manufacturer Dirgantara Indonesia for up to 20 C212-400 turboprops seating 26 passengers. The state-owned carrier plans to mainly use the aircraft on regional routes to remote regions of Indonesia with the first aircraft expected to be delivered later this year.
