Alitalia (AZA, Rome Fiumicino) has received approval for its planned acquisition of low-cost carrier Windjet (Catania) from the Italian antitrust authorities. It will however have to give up slots to allow competitors to operate from Catania to Milan Linate and Rome Fiumicino and from Palermo International to Milan Linate.
