Luxair (LG, Luxembourg) ordered two incremental B737-8s from Boeing, increasing its firm commitment from the manufacturer to four units.
"With these modern and fuel-efficient aircraft, Luxair will be able to offer more comfortable flights and expand its network of destinations, providing even more options to its customers," the carrier said.
The airline will induct its first two B737-8s during the Summer 2023 season on a medium-term dry lease. After 2027, the two dry-leased units will be replaced with purchased aircraft of the same type.
The ch-aviation Commercial Aviation Aircraft Data module shows that the carrier's current narrowbody fleet comprises four B737-700s and four B737-800s. The airline also operates eleven DHC-8-Q400s and wet-leases two E190s from German Airways (ZQ, Cologne/Bonn) under a long-term commitment.
