Golden Myanmar Airlines (GMR, Yangon) is a newly established start-up carrier that aims to launch regional services from Mandalay International from early 2013. The new airline is backed by the chairmans of CB Bank and food producer Myanma Golden Star. Golden Myanmar is currently evaluating aircraft types and whether to initially launch domestic and international operations from Mandalay International, Yangon or both.
