bmi regional (Aberdeen Dyce) has announced its first two new routes that it will launch as an independent airline on October 29. It will continue to operate with a similar focus as today and has announced new twice weekdaily services from Aberdeen to Bristol International and from Manchester to Antwerp using E145 regional jets. bmi regional will compete with Eastern Airways (T3, Humberside) on the route to Bristol where Eastern operates up to three times daily via Leeds/Bradford while it takes over the route to Antwerp from Air France (AF, Paris CDG) subsidiary CityJet (WX, Dublin International) which has just recently dropped the route from its network.
