Sky Wings Aviation (Karachi International) has been awarded a contract to operate a new air ambulance service for Pakistan’s eastern Punjab province, according to local news reports.

The service, proposed by Punjab’s chief minister, Maryam Nawaz Sharif, is set to be operational in June and will employ Sky Wings’ Piper (twin piston) Seneca II, AP-BFM (msn 664), according to a video posted on social media in which the service’s first training session can be seen.

Sky Wings Aviation is a passenger charter specialist based in Karachi.

Local press reports suggested that the Punjab air ambulance service would also employ a second Piper Aircraft. However, it is unclear which company will provide it, as according to Pakistan’s aircraft registry, Sky Wings Private Limited operates only one aircraft.
