Melaka Air (Batu Berendam) plans to acquired a first own aircraft, an ATR 42-500, from an unnamed French airline, presumably Airlinair (Paris Orly). The virtual carrier had previously cooperated with Firefly (FY, Penang) offering regional services from Batu Berendam to Kuala Lumpur Subang, Medan Soewondo and Penang. Routes to KL and Medan had already been cancelled earlier but the route to Penang has operated until October 26. It now plans to resume services on the route to Penang once it is able to take delivery of an own aircraft.
