Tiger Airways Australia (Melbourne Airport) has said that it would now be considering options for international routes from Australia following a deal that sees Virgin Australia (VA, Brisbane International) take a 60% in the low-cost carrier. It had previously not been allowed to operate on international routes given its foreign ownership. Tiger is however not expected to immediately launch international services over the course of the next couple of months.
