Northern Airways (Michigan) (Iron Mountain/Kingsford) has added a first executive jet to its Part 135-certified fleet, a Citation Jet 2. Chief Operating Officer Jordanne Schwandt confirmed to ch-aviation that the company was in the process of adding more Citation aircraft, although the number of units and timeline remain undetermined.

The newly inducted jet, N920JR (msn 525A-0060), is 22.9 years old and configured for up to seven passengers.

It joins two Cessna 441s in Northern Airways’ charter fleet. The company’s Part 135 certificate was formerly held by Kubick Aviation until February 2024, when it was merged into C&C Aviation, trading as Northern Airways.

The Citation Jet 2 was previously operated under the Part 135 certificate of Pacific Coast Jet and based at Oakland International. It was active until late June 2024 under the company's 'PXT' code, after which it was parked at Portland International until December, when it resumed operations. Pacific Coast Jet's Part 135 fleet continues to include two Citation Jet 2s along with multiple other Citation-series aircraft.
