Allegiant Air (G4, Las Vegas Harry Reid) has announced that it plans to acquire seven ex-Iberia (IB, Madrid Barajas) A320-200s in 2013 and two additional aircraft in 2014. The carrier does not plan to retire additional MD-80s as a result but has said that it plans to decrease the utilization of its MD-80 fleet as as result. It had previously announced transactions that will see it add 19 A319-100s to its fleet.
