Greenland Express (Aalborg) is a new airline planning to compete with Air Greenland (GL, Nuuk) on routes between Greenland and Denmark. According to a report by Standby.dk it has applied for a scheduled license to launch three times weekly scheduled service from Kangerlussuaq to Aalborg and twice weekly service to Copenhagen Kastrup. It is also considering adding destinations such as Amsterdam Schiphol, London, Reykjavik Keflavik and possibly airports in Canada and Germany at a later stage and plans to initially wet-lease an A319-100 or A320-200 for its planned operation.
