El Al Israel Airlines (LY, Tel Aviv Ben Gurion) has announced that it plans to cut 200 temporary and contract jobs at the airline as part of a new efficiency initiative. El Al is currently in negotiations with its labor unions to agree on new contracts that it hopes to complete ahead of a capital increase to be funded by investment fund Fimi.
