British Airways (BA, London Heathrow) could be the next A350-1000 customer if parent company, International Airlines Group (IAG), pushes ahead with plans this week. According to the Wall Street Journal, the exact size and value of the potential deal is still not known, but it could also involve the smaller A350-900. It is further speculated that British Airways could also pursue the revamped Boeing 777X, which would complement its current order of 8 B787-8s and 16 B787-9s - the Airbus A350’s primary competitors.
