Uzbekistan Airways (HY, Tashkent International) is facing flight restrictions on its Russia-bound routes if a solution to an ongoing impasse between Russia and Uzbekistan over Uzbek currency-repatriation laws is not found. Russia's Federal Air Transport Agency, Rosaviatsia, states that Russian carriers operating into Uzbekistan are "having a hard time converting tickets, charged in the local Uzbek Som, into either US Dollars or Euros", resulting in the accumulation of huge amounts of repatriated revenue in Uzbek banks. In talks held earlier this year, it was decided that all accumulated funds be converted and transferred before April 15, with Russian airlines to be granted a special dispensation to charge fares in the currency of their choosing, though this has yet to be effected. The next negotiations between the countries will take place in Uzbekistan at the end of April. Uzbekistan Airways currently serves Sochi, Ekaterinburg, Kaliningrad, Kazan International, Krasnodar, Krasnoyarsk Yemelyanovo, Mineralnye Vody, Moscow Domodedovo, Novosibirsk, Rostov Platov, Samara Kurumoch, St. Petersburg, Tyumen Roschino and Ufa in Russia.
