Lucky Air (China) (8L, Dali) has applied to China's civil aviation regulator, CAAC, for permission to begin regional services to Hong Kong, Taiwan and Macau. Should the request be granted, it would likely pave the way for Lucky to eventually tap into the international market. Lucky Air, a subsidiary of Hainan Airlines (HU, Haikou), operates an exclusively domestic Chinese network using a mixed fleet of both Airbus (AIB, Toulouse Blagnac) and Boeing (BOE, Washington National) metal.
