Garuda Indonesia (GA, Jakarta Soekarno-Hatta) will officially join Skyteam in March 2014, the alliance's director, Michael Wisbrun, has confirmed. Originally announced in 2011, Garuda's membership of SkyTeam had been delayed due to the incompatibility of its previous reservations system which is now being replaced by the Amadeus Altea platform. The alliance membership is part of the Indonesian carrier's "Quantum Leap" investment programme in which it aims to have 154 aircraft in service within three years, with a total throughput of more than 32 million passengers by the end of 2015.
