China United Airlines (KN, Beijing Daxing International) will become the first airline to serve the recently opened Bijie airport when it launches its 3x weekly B737-700 to Beijing Nanyuan. Costing a total of USD170million (CNY1.05billion), Bijie Feixiong Airport is situated in Guizhou Province, southern China, and is intended to help build Bijie into an important regional transportation hub at the intersection of Sichuan, Chongqing and Guizhou. New flights to Guangzhou as well as a new Shanghai Pudong - Bijie - Kunming Changshui route are expected to begin from July on.
