Oman Air (WY, Muscat) signed a deal with Boeing (BOE, Washington National) for five B737-900(ER)s at the recently ended 2013 Paris Air Show held at Paris Le Bourget. The order, previously unidentified on the Boeing Orders and Deliveries website, is valued at USD473million at current list prices. By confirming this order, Oman Air becomes the first customer of the type in the Arabian Gulf region and with the order joining the carrier's order backlog of seven B737-800s.
