Far Eastern Airline (Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk) is set to be renamed to "Taiga", at least for the foreseeable future, Russia's Kommersant has reported. The new carrier, formed from the merger and consolidation of SAT Airlines (Russian Federation) (Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk) and Vladivostok Air (Vladivostok) to help boost connectivity and economic activity in Russia's Far East, is to be unveiled later this year with its new corporate design and route network having already been decided on.
