Gulf Air (GF, Bahrain International) is to resume services to Iran with Mashad flights set to commence on December 15. The Associated Press says the Bahraini carrier suspended flights in February 2011 over claims Tehran had tacitly supported a Shiite-led uprising in the Gulf kingdom. A resumption in flights had been scheduled for October 2012 only to be postponed indefinitely after Bahraini authorities claimed Iran had been slow to grant them requisite approvals.
