BVI Airways (Tortola) and Sunrise Airways (S6, Port au Prince) have signed a Subservice Flight Operations Agreement in which Sunrise will operate BVI's twice weekly Tortola to Dominica Melville Hall and St. Maarten flights while BVI Airways' sole aircraft, a Jetstream 31, undergoes maintenance and refurbishment in the United States. Sunrise Airways will also operate charters on behalf of BVI Airways as requested. For the duration of the downtime, the Haitian carrier will operate its own Jetstream 32 and has already obtained a BVI Foreign Operators Permit together with Seventh Freedom Rights approval in order to fly the routes included in the Subservice Agreement.
