Estonian Air (Tallinn Lennart Meri) has signed a commercial agreement with Växjö airport in southeastern Sweden to operate a Växjö to Amsterdam Schiphol route beginning May 4 of this year.
Under the terms of the agreement, Estonian Air will serve the route 8x weekly onboard an E170.
“The agreement gives Estonian Air a very good possibility to utilise one of its two surplus aircraft capacity with low risk, and it is of course convenient to operate to Amsterdam since we do operate the same destination from Tallinn Lennart Meri [sic],” said Jan Palmér, the CEO of Estonian Air.
The Estonian carrier's fleet consist of four Embraer 170s and three CRJ900s. At present, one aircraft is based out of Birmingham, GB for charter flights to continental Europe as part of a joint venture with Air Charter Service (ACS).
