Air Tanzania (TC, Dar es Salaam) has taken delivery of its first CRJ200, 5Y-WWA (cn 7350), on lease from Kenya's Trident Aviation (Nairobi Wilson). The twinjet arrived in Dar es Salaam on Saturday, March 8 and will reportedly be joined by two CRJ700s in April and May.
Acting Chief Executive Officer Captain Milton Lazaro said the new aircraft would add to the airline's existing fleet of one DHC-8-300 and a B737-200Adv. wet-leased from Star Air (South Africa) (BRH, Johannesburg O.R. Tambo).
Currently, the Tanzanian national carrier offers flights throughout Tanzania as well as to Moroni International and Bujumbura.
