Air India Express (IX, Delhi International) and SpiceJet (SG, Delhi International) confirmed during the recent Routes Asia convention that they will switch their respective operations from Dubai International to Sharjah during the former's upcoming runway renovation exercise, set to run from May 1 to July 20, 2014.
Air India Express currently serves Dubai Intl from Amritsar, Jaipur, Kochi International, Kozhikode, Lucknow, Mangalore Bajpe, Mumbai International, Pune, Thiruvananthapuram and Tiruchirapally while Spicejet serves the Emirate from Ahmedabad, Delhi International, Kochi International, Madurai and Mumbai.
