Aeroméxico (AM, México City International) has expanded its "Aeromexico Contigo" programme to include flights from Morelia and León/Guanajuato to San Francisco with effect from April 7. Flights from Morelia to Chicago O'Hare are scheduled to start on June 7. Until now, the Contigo service had centred on flights from Guadalajara to destinations in Mexico, the United States and Canada.
On the product's launch in October last year, the Mexican carrier reconfigured four of its B737-800s into 174-seaters featuring 18 in Economy Plus and 156 seats in Economy Class.
The Contigo service primarily targets migrant workers residing in either Mexico or the United States who travel frequently between the two countries. It features a call centre and personal assistance at participating airport check-in counters, assistance in filling out immigration forms, and transportation of oversized packages.
