The Cessna will initially be based at Maamigili airport, with platforms in locations around the South Ari Atoll serving resorts in the area. After an initial test period, flights to other main tourist hotspots like Baa Atoll, Ghaafu Dhaalu Atoll and Ghaafu Alifu Atoll will also be offered.
Parent company Villa Group chairman, Gasim Ibrahim, said FlyMe will acquire two more seaplanes by the end of the year.
