Transaero Airlines (Moscow Vnukovo) and Aeroflot (SU, Moscow Sheremetyevo) have been banned by the Ukrainian civil aviation authority from serving Kharkiv and Donetsk until further notice. In a statement issued on May 5, Kiev indefinitely extended a previous temporary moratorium which expired on May 5.

Collectively, the two airlines continue to serve Dnipro, Kyiv Boryspil, Kyiv Igor Sikorsky and Odesa in the Ukraine.

In the wake of growing unrest in the east of the country, Russian news agency RIA Novosti says Ukraine last month banned Russian males aged 16-60 from entering the country, excepting those traveling with women or children, or those who have documents confirming an invitation from close relatives or serious illness or death in the family.
