TAR Aerolíneas has pointed to the Caribbean islands of Cuba, the Dominican Republic and Jamaica, as potential candidates for its maiden international operations. On why his airline was avoiding serving Mexico's south-east - Cancún in particular - airline managing director, Rodrigo Vázquez, told Dominican newswire Arecoa that as TAR is still relatively new, it would make better economic sense for it to develop thinner routes into the Caribbean than venture into the south-east, which currently sees a heavy foreign and local carrier presence.

With a fleet of three E145s TAR currently serves Querétaro, Monterrey Mariano Escobedo, Guadalajara, Puerto Vallarta, Los Mochis, Aguascalientes, Tampico, Durango International, Ixtapa/Zihuatanejo, Acapulco, Toluca, and Morelia.
