Nile Air (NP, Cairo International) will add an additional pair of A320-200s to its current two as it gears up for planned regional as well as international expansion. CEO Ahmed Aly told RoutesOnline that his carrier is studying the possibility of launching flights to Turkey, Italy, the United Kingdom, the United Arab Emirates, Libya and Sudan.

“The Egyptian market is highly dynamic,” he said. “Notwithstanding the current changes in the political landscape, we’ve got strong potential,” he added.

Nile currently offers scheduled services from Alexandria Borg el Arab, Cairo International, and Luxor to Gassim, Jeddah International, Yanbu, Tabuk, and Taif in Saudi Arabia as well as to Kuwait.
