ADI Aerodynamics (Pontiac Oakland County International) is looking to enter the domestic US scheduled services market with effect from October 1.

In its application to the US Department of Transportation (DoT) for a Certificate of Public Convenience and Necessity (CPCN) to engage in the Scheduled Interstate Air Transportation of Persons, Property, and Mail, the charter specialist plans to use its fleet of five E145s to operate a Youngstown/Warren to Detroit Metropolitan route initially.

"Although Youngstown, since 2006, has been linked to several leisure destinations via low-frequency point-to-point service, ADI's service to Detroit will provide Youngstwin travellers entree to the broader national and international air transportation system - convenient access that has been absent for over 10 years," it argued.

In another first, ADI also recently applied for its first ever Essential Air Services (EAS) contracts for Hattiesburg/Laurel and Meridian Key in Mississippi.
