Aurigny Air Services (GR, Guernsey) has taken delivery of its first E195, G-NSEY (cn 19000671), from Embraer (EMB, São José dos Campos U.E. Stumpf International). The twinjet was ferried from São José dos Campos U.E. Stumpf International to Guernsey via Recife, Sal Amilcar Cabral International, and Exeter on June 27, Skyliner Aviation reports.
The aircraft will be deployed on the airline's multiple daily Guernsey to London Gatwick flagship route, currently operated by its fleet of ATR72s and a wet-lease flybe. (2002) (Exeter) E195.
“The acquisition of the EMB-195 is a major step forward for our company,” said Mark Darby, CEO of Aurigny Air Services. “The London Gatwick route is very important for us. We’ve been tasked by the State of Guernsey to increase capacity and upgrade the quality of our overall service so we decided to move up to a jet."
