Monarch Airlines (1968) (London Luton) is reportedly close to making a final decision on an order for at least 30 B737 MAX family aircraft according to a report by Reuters quoting "industry sources". According to Monarch no final decision has yet been taken but its fleet renewal evaluation would be at an advanced stage.

Monarch is currently reviewing its options to place an order for up to sixty new generation aircraft to replace its narrowbody fleet that currently includes 10 A320-200s, 27 A321-200s and three B757-200s. The UK leisure specialist also operates two A330-200s on long-haul services.
