SeaPort Airlines (2008) (Portland International) could commence scheduled operations out of Tupelo as early as October should a Tupelo Airport Authority Board recommendation to the US Department of Transportation (DoT) be accepted.

The Oregonian carrier's proposal, which includes 30 weekly frequencies to Nashville International and Memphis International, was USD1milion cheaper than a rival bid from Air Choice One (St. Louis Lambert International), WTVA reported.

The Mississippian airport has been without regular air services since Silver Airways (Fort Lauderdale International) withdrew its Atlanta Hartsfield Jackson and Greenville, MS routes earlier this year.
