Airbus (AIB, Toulouse Blagnac) has rejected a Bloomberg newswire report that it is in talks with IndiGo Airlines (6E, Delhi International) concerning a possible order for 200 additional A320neo jets valued at about USD20.6billion. The deal was to have been announced at the upcoming Farnborough Airshow, it claimed.

The European manufacturer said in a statement that the report was "unfounded" adding that it is in continuous talks with its customers.

As one of India's more dominant carriers, Indigo operates a fleet of seventy-eight A320s with an additional 160 A320neos and twenty A321neos having been ordered back in 2011. The new jets are scheduled for delivery from 2016 and 2107 onwards respectively.
