Loong Air (GJ, Hangzhou) has signed a USD700million agreement with China's CDB Leasing for the lease of fourteen A320 aircraft. Announced during the 3rd China Air Finance Development (DFTP) Summit in Tianjin, the signing ceremony was attended by Wu Rongyang, the Executive Vice President of CDB Leasing, and Liu Qihong, the Chairman of Loong Air.
Formerly CDI Cargo Airlines (Hangzhou), Zhejiang Loong operates seven A320-200s and three B737-300(F)s on scheduled passenger and cargo services. With international operations on the cards, the carrier committed to twenty A320 Family aircraft, including 11 A320ceo and nine A320neo, from Airbus (AIB, Toulouse Blagnac) and has signed a Letter of Intent to acquire twenty A220-100s from Bombardier Aerospace (BBA, Montréal Trudeau) as well.
