Estonian Air (Tallinn Lennart Meri) is considering entering the Swedish domestic market with plans to serve both Arvidsjaur and Gällivare from Stockholm Arlanda. Swedish aviation news portal, flygtorget, reports the Estonian carrier would come up against competition from local Swedish operator, NextJet (Stockholm Arlanda), which currently serves both routes.

Both routes were subject to state subsidization in the past though this was recently rescinded after NextJet found it could viably operate to both destinations without need for assistance.

Currently, Estonian Air's Swedish operations are restricted to daily Stockholm Arlanda and Stockholm Bromma (operated by DOT LT (Kaunas International)) flights from its Tallinn Lennart Meri hub.
