SF Airlines (O3, Shenzhen) parent SF Express is looking to expand into the European market with plans to include a complete express logistics service there. Though group vice-president George Li Dongqi did not provide specific time frames, he did state the group's entry would occur sooner or later.
"It's quite natural [to expand to Europe], as a vision we will be there sooner or later," Li told the South China Morning Post. "We are not just providing partial transportation of goods [to Europe]," he said.
To cope with anticipated demand, Li said SF Airlines plans to expand its fleet from the current 20 owned and chartered narrowbody freighters, to over 60 units, including widebodies, by 2015 and over 150 by 2021.
