Luxair (LG, Luxembourg) has signed a firm order agreement with Bombardier Aerospace (BBA, Montréal Trudeau) for five DHC-8-400NGs entailing three firm orders and two options. The turboprops are part of the carrier's fleet renewal programme and will be used to replace Luxair's outgoing fleet of six E145s.
Based on current list prices, the firm order is valued at approximately USD100.3 million and could increase to USD169.5 million should Luxair exercise all its options.
Luxair already operates a fleet of seven Q400s.
